Connect With Always There:

Always There's Employees Give Back

The Always There’s employees support community programs in areas where they live and where we serve customers. In 2010, our dedicated team force has participated in the following:

American Cancer Relay for Life
Every year, Always There sponsors the Relay for Life in Kingston. We had over twenty employees participate!

Caregivers Conference
Always There partnered and participated in this great conference to assist caregivers throughout Ulster County.

• United Way of Ulster County
The Always There’s employees have an option to give back to United Way through donations from deductions in their paychecks.

Cell Phones for Soldiers
Cell Phones for Soldiers hopes to turn old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas. The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad. In 2010, Always There’s employees donated a considerable number of cell phones to this great cause.

Shriners Hospitals for Children “pop-top” program
Shriners Hospitals have been collecting pull-tabs or “pop-tops” from cans (including beverages, soups, and pet food cans since 1989, recycling them, and putting the money toward programs that directly benefit children. Since its inception, about a half-million pounds of aluminum tabs have been collected and recycled.

Did you know: The tabs are the only pure aluminum art of the can, and the cans may still be returned for deposit even after the tabs are removed. In 2010, Always There’s employees donated approximately 4.5 pounds of pull-tabs to this cause.
